An eye shaped by nature

I’m 24 and I was born and raised in La Fortuna. It all started in high school, in the middle of the pandemic, when I chose the Ecological Tourism specialty at CTP La Fortuna. There I got to literally immerse myself in the Children’s Eternal Rainforest, and a teacher with a true vocation for tourism taught me a great deal and sparked my desire to keep following that path. In those same years my love for photography was born too: I was always on my bike, camera in hand, looking for some new place to go photograph.

I went on to the Bachelor’s in Ecological Tourism at the University of Costa Rica, in Liberia, touring the country on field trips, never leaving photography or the bike behind. I worked in adventure photography at Vandará, spent a season in Andorra, and in my final year earned an exchange scholarship at the Universidad Austral de Chile. Along the way I came to know tourism from many sides: reservations and operations at Ecocentro Danaus, photography and selling experiences, hospitality, and content creation for tourism experiences at Tribu Travels.

That’s when I understood something important: I had spent years promoting and creating content for other people’s experiences, and that was exactly what I wanted to build for myself. Today I’m taking that step, organizing trips on my own.

What I’m most passionate about is showing other people, in practice, what I’ve learned from traveling: that what’s normal in one country might not be in another. I love mountains, rivers, the beach, and everything I’ve seen exploring different places. With photography I look for exactly that: not just seeing the landscape with your own eyes, but taking something with you that comes close to what it feels like to be there.
